The Venerable Father Pitt has promulgated his list of the ten most beautiful Catholic churches in Pittsburgh. In his afterthoughts, he cites Yours Truly on the subject of Old St. Patrick’s, which I have written about in my book Love in the Little Things: Tales of Family Life.

Dear Mike,
Is Father Pitt related to the original Father Pitt that founded Pittsburgh? And doesn’t our musical Mike attend Olde St. Patrick’s?
You mentioned food in the weekend trip to Youngstown. You have my attention.
Father Pitt is the pseudonym of a local blogger. You might find a clue to his true identity here:

I’ve seen the guy’s genealogy charts, and I don’t recall seeing any Pitts.
As for food in Youngstown: I do not speak with authority in the matter, but only from past experience. I’ve attended a number of SSJC events, and there’s always good food around!
Thank you for this site. He photographs Pittsburgh the way I love to remember it.
