I have to say this revelation comes as a shock — a patristic scholar who can’t read French is hardly worthy of the name.
I’ve never claimed to be a scholar, or worthy of the name! Just a student, a reader, an enthusiast, and a journalist. To draw an analogy: There are neurosurgeons, and there are journalists who write about neurosurgery. Most people don’t want to read anything about neurosurgery written by the former group.
