As the Methodist Minister in Letchworth UK and the webmaster of http://www.earlychurchtexts.com I was very interested in the Adrian Fortescue book. Adrian Fortescue was the priest at the St Hugh of Lincoln Roman Catholic Church just along the road from our Methodist Church. He sadly died quite young while priest at St Hugh’s. As part of the centenary celebrations for St Hugh’s Church there is a special exhibition about Adrian Fortescue until 12th January at the Heritate Museum in Letchworth.

Fascinating – pay a visit if your around Letchworth UK. He had a beautiful writing script for the music which he prepared for services and also in his pastoral notes on parishioners (all written in Latin and Greek!).
