Merlin Among the Fathers

The “historical Merlin” has joined his friend the “historical Arthur” over at the pages of GrailCode.com. I hope you’ll stop by to welcome everyone’s favorite wizard. You’ll also find new material on St. Gildas the Wise, who, according to the old patristics manuals, flourished around 569 A.D., preaching the Gospel to areas of Ireland that had lapsed back into paganism. (I wonder if the snakes returned?)

You can also meet these characters in the pages of our book, The Grail Code, should you be kind enough to buy a copy.

  1. Mike,
    I have two questions.

1)How historically accurate is the movie “Arthur”?
2)Was the real Arthur a follower of Pelagius?

  2. 1. I didn’t see the movie.
    2. We know little, if anything, about the historical Arthur, if indeed he existed. None of the sources connects him with Pelagius. That’s a pipe dream of the 21st century: After all, anyone who’s cool can’t be a Catholic, right? He MUST have been a heretic. So, let’s see, which heretic do we associate with the British Isles… ;-)

  3. Ha! Makes perfect sense! If only the world would see how many cool Catholics there really are.
